Lucky Draw Loser

Ok I must rant. The previous post on Patron's Day sounds so happy and squeaky because it was written before I got the news from Dorcas.

The news that I won a Samsung slide phone at the lucky draw!!! But that now I'm the biggest lucky draw loser! Why?! Because I left earlier, they gave it away to somebody else. Now firstly, I don't understand this policy about being able to claim your prize only when you are present. How many people knew there was a lucky draw at the end of the event, when the freaking dance floor was practically empty?! Nobody I asked today knew about it!

Second, what is so difficult about passing the phone to a friend of mine- who could have so easily got me on the phone, and have me verify my IC number with the organizers?? Dorcas Hailing Youyi were still around, to my knowledge. And to top it off, the phone I won was the new black slide one. Which if I had successfully gotten, would be cradled next to my ear now. I would have traded my E800C in, for at least $600. $600. That's about 2 mths worth of allowance. 2 whole months. And that would have bought me:

-At least two 5-day trips to Bintan or Phuket. All-expense paid
-A field day at FCUK, Zara or Forever21
-More proper shirts for Weiming, so he doesn't have to make me gasp at his soccer jerseys all the time
-Countless visits to Haagen Daas' ice-cream buffet
-At least 5 slimming visits to Marie France after the ice-cream buffet
-Unlimited access to the Abercrombie site's spoils, and not just the sales items
-a new dog!

Oh this just pisses me to high heaven. And now I will have to gorge my sorrows away at the ice-cream buffet with my fellow lucky draw loser Terese, who suffered the very same fate as me. Only that we have to pay it out of our own holey pockets
