Now I know what busy means

Haven't been here in a week. Being too busy, though not necessarily with work, is disconcerting for the smooth running of something called a lifestyle.

So I've been to Ipoh/KL and back. Caving was bad. White water rafting was good, save for the time when we hit a rock and Koof flew on top of Rox and I. Haha that was quite a sight. Besides the stupid Singaporean company which screwed up our busride to KL from Ipoh, leaving us all stranded at the rafting site, everything went smoothly.

In a nutshell: Bob the bouncer. Street food. My first o-luak, sans the oysters. KL Zouk; sucky music, watery drinks, oddball transvestites pawing Koof all over. The Roxy/Quiksilver sale. Secret Recipe's wonderful Ringgit-equivalent prices: Cheesecakes and chocolate indulgence spinning-sally style, my amazing raspberry yogurt cheesecake! Longlonglong busrides. Adrian counting the kilometres in view of my constantly bursting tiny bladder. And my Rox, all to myself :)

One long trip home. Well, not quite home, because I've spent the last 2 nights at his place. Shush your naughty little minds, it's work-related.

The SMU-MSI conference diminished the concept of forty-winks. Weiming and I have been working there for the last 2 days. Highlights: The overabundance of hotel food, most definitely. Minsok Pak was everybody's Won Bin, though I wonder why. Proctor and Gamble. Juliana and Choy Peng, laughs-a-plenty.

The highlight of all highlights: David J. Reibstein should be Wharton's pride and joy. Three words: My new idol.

The picture doesn't do him any justice. He scorns ties and suits. He did his presentation in a psychadelic rainbow-checked shirt. And mark me, it was anything but an eyesore.
He's been given the Teaching Excellence award every single year since he got the right to be addressed Prof. Reibstein. That says a lot. And he was nothing short of fantastic :)
And no, this isn't some Harrison Ford-esque fixation. The guy is really all that.

Alright, enough gushing. Off to bed. My bed, for the first time in 5 nights.
